Nano-silver  antibacterial property

The silver particle has larger area to  contact with the outside environment which enables it with higher antibacterial activity. Besides, the  nano-silver particle also has stronger infiltration ability owing to its small  size and the surface effect so as to achieve a more efficient antibacterial  effect.

The nano-silver  particle will release silver ions unceasingly by means of ionizing balance and  the silver irons will suppress the reproduction of the bacteria radically by  the following three ways: 1. Silver ions attack the SH group in the internal  metabolic enzymes of the bacterial. The metabolic enzymes will be inactive and  the normal bacterial metabolism is destroyed; 2. Silver ions react with the  peptidoglycan exposed on the bacterial cell wall so that the peptidoglycan can  not fulfill the task of energy transfer and the normal physiological activity  is destroyed; 3. The bacterial DNA structure is changed because of the  combination of silver irons and the DNA base and the DNA transcription is restrained. The reproduction of the  bacteria will be suppressed completely by the above three means so that the  excellent antibacterial effect is achieved.

The nano-silver particle has higher antibacterial  activity for its larger surface and contact area and bacteria will loss  activity after 6 seconds contact with the nano silver. Besides, because of the  unique antibacterial mechanism of the silver, bacterial will not produce  drug-resistant property for the nano-silver antimicrobial agent as for the  other antimicrobial agent, so that the sustained dosage and antibacterial  effects can be guaranteed. 

Since the nano-silver is a kind of single-inorganic antimicrobial agent and the silver  has good chemical stability, the nano-silver antimicrobial agent has better stability that other antimicrobial agent which also  means that the nano-silver has longer antibacterial  effect.

The silver ion will be released unceasingly by  ionization and the silver iron will infiltrate into the bacteria internal to  destroy the activity of the bacterial. Then, the silver iron can dissociate out  to participate in a new round of attacks, which enables the nano-silver has  excellent semi-permanent antibacterial property as the catalyst.

With the help of the high activity and high  specific surface area of the nano-silver iron, the excellent antimicrobial  effect will be achieved with lower concentration (the minimum effective  antimicrobial concentration is 10ppm).
